The Keynote speaker will be native Memphian D’Army Bailey, attorney, judge, author and a founder of the National Civil Rights Museum. Judge Bailey now practices with the law firm of Wilkes and McHugh.
Jimmy Naifeh who was first elected to the Tennessee House of Representatives in 1974 and was Speaker of the House from 1991 to 2009 will be honored at the traditional Kennedy Day Dinner on June 8, 2012. Naifeh who served longer as Speaker than anyone else in Tennessee history will be awarded the Kennedy Award by the Shelby County Democratic Party.
Park Overall, actress and Democratic candidate for the United States Senate, will speak on Women’s issues.
